RowanTree Woolery sells new wheels (Majacraft, Baynes and Cherub) as well as used and antique wheels which we have refurbished so they
may be enjoyed by today's spinners.  

The antique wheels are updated as they are made ready, so please check back often, or email us if there is a wheel you really want, but we don't have.

Introducing the Cherub Spinning Wheel
We are proud to be the sole distributors for the Cherub Spinning Wheel and accessories.  

These traditional style wheels are made by spinners for spinners.  Each wheel is hand made from select
Kauri timber, no mass production here, and lacquer finished in either natural or cedar stain.  The wheel is
compact and light, weighing about 12 lbs.  Height 36", width 14", depth 16".  The whorl is two speed,
producing ratios of 6:1 and 8:1.  The threader hook (below right) is integrated into the front maiden shaft,
ensuring it's accessibility, but also making a very lovely threader hook.

The wheel itself turns on graphite nylon bearings, the spools have nylon bearings and the flyer spins on
leather bearings. Each spool will hold 5-6 ounces of spun wool.  

The wheel comes with parts as described below, and all these features are coupled with a quick change
flyer that makes it not only a beautiful wheel, but a joy to use.  On top of that: every wheel is spun on before
dispatch, ensuring you will receive a trouble free product.

I am not sure the age of this small old Saxony Style Spinning
Wheel, but it appears to be quite old. Possibly hand made. Maybe
a child's wheel. It has a very small orifice and a small bobbin.  
Everything appears to work. Very cute addition to your wheel
collection.

Lovely small European parlor wheel. This is a gorgeous little wheel
with a very tall distaff. European wheels were very small so they
could be transported easily. There are some reproduction pieces,
but I am not sure which are, because the whole wheel looks
original.  An antique spinning wheel restorer in Hungary found the
wheel and restored it to its natural beauty!  This would be a
treasure to own and display in your home.

Antique Wheel from the Netherlands
Near mint condition for this antique saxony wheel from the
Netherlands.  Everything works, no cracks, splits or visible
damage. I have not spun on it however.  I believe this has the
original leather drive band.  All pegged, no nails.  Leather
bearings have been replaced on treadle.  Has a very tall distaff.  
Excellent addition to any spinning wheel collection.

The Little Gem is a state of the art travelling folding wheel. It is
especially usefull for those who need to transport their spinning
wheel but has the capability and smoothness to cater for all types
of spinning. It is fully packaged with three bobbins in its own
thermal bag. We also include a travelling kate in the bag for total
freedom.

The Gem easily handles tasks of spinning and plying wool,
mohair, silk etc. The Little Gem, although small and incredibly light

Majacraft Millie

The Millie was designed as an elegant, compact double treadle
wheel that has the ease of use and features that are common to
Majacraft wheels. It is unique in design and has a character that
will grace any home but its very small floor area appeals to those
with less space. The Millie will appeal to spinners on a lower
budget who do not wish at this time to invest in a fully featured
wheel but enjoy the ease and smoothness of a double treadle
wheel.

Although very compact, it offers full orifice height and is built from
beautiful New Zealand Rimu. Majacraft pay special attention to
treadle angles to ensure that there is minimum strain on ankle
and calf muscles while spinning.
